How we collect reviews
We publish reviews as they come in. We don't rewrite them into something smoother, buy them from a review site, or set the critical ones aside — a traveller's account stays theirs, translated for the other languages this site runs in and nothing else changed.
A review only goes up if it's tied to someone who actually took the trip with us — never something written in-house to fill space on the page, and never edited to read better than it did.
What shapes the score
A single number can't carry a whole trip, so it helps to know roughly what goes into it. The guide accounts for a lot: how much they know, how well they read a group, whether they adjust when a site turns out closed. The driver and vehicle matter almost as much, especially on the long desert stretches between cities.
Pace matters too, separate from how much a route claims to cover — a packed day can wear out someone who wanted to drift, while a slower one can frustrate someone who wanted to see everything. Where you sleep plays a part as well: a yurt camp is a different experience from a city hotel, not a better or worse one.
How to leave a review
There's no review form on this site. If you've travelled with us, leave one the way you'd reach us for anything else — the contact page, email, or WhatsApp. Say it's a review, and tell us which trip and roughly when, so we can place it against the right tour.
We add it to this page ourselves once it arrives, in your own words. If you'd rather leave your name off, or skip a detail you don't want public, tell us and we will — a review only goes up with exactly what you're comfortable sharing.
