Ground handling in Uzbekistan for the travel trade
For agents, tour operators and DMCs looking for a licensed local partner in Uzbekistan. Nothing here is bookable — this is how we work with the trade.
This page is for travel agents, tour operators and DMCs looking for a ground handler in Uzbekistan. It is not a packaged product and there is nothing to book here — what follows is a description of how we work with trade partners and what we need from you to quote.
Eastern is a licensed inbound tour operator and destination management company based in Tashkent. We run our own ground services and we do not pass your clients to a subcontractor. That is the short version of why partners use us.
What we do as a ground handler
The full ground product: guides in the languages we work in, vehicles with our own drivers, hotel contracting, domestic flights and rail, entrance arrangements, and someone on the ground reachable while your clients are in the country.
We handle groups and individuals, fixed departures and tailor-made requests. Most of our partner work is the classic circuit through the great cities, but the pilgrimage routes, the Fergana Valley and the southern loop through Termez and Boysun are all things we run regularly rather than occasionally.
Languages are worth stating plainly, because they are the usual constraint. English, Russian and Uzbek are always available. Guides in other languages exist in smaller numbers and are contracted per programme, which means lead time matters more for those requests than for anything else in a file.
How a quote works
Send the itinerary or the brief, the dates, the party size and the hotel category you are selling. We come back with a costed programme, and where a request is not workable as written we say so and propose an alternative rather than quoting something that will fail on the ground.
Net rates for trade partners are a separate conversation and are agreed per partnership rather than published. Write to us with your company details and we will set that up before quoting.
Amendments are normal and we do not treat them as a nuisance. What we ask is that changes come in writing to the same contact rather than across three channels, because a file that lives in one place is a file that does not lose a transfer.
What we need from you
For a quote: dates, party size, arrival and departure points, hotel standard, languages required, and any dietary or accessibility needs. Rooming lists and passport details come later, at confirmation.
The earlier the better on two things in particular: guides in less common languages, and hotel space in the old towns during spring and autumn. Both are genuinely limited, and both are the usual reason a good programme has to be rebuilt at short notice.
Working practice
One contact for the whole file rather than a queue. Written confirmations for everything, because verbal arrangements do not survive a season. Advance notice when something changes on our side — a road closure, a monument under restoration, a hotel that has quietly downgraded.
We would rather tell a partner early that a programme has a weak point than have their client discover it. That is not generosity; it is the only way a trade relationship lasts more than one season.
On the ground we operate our own vehicles and work with a settled pool of guides rather than whoever is free that week. That is why we can vouch for the product: a partner who books a named guide gets that guide, and if something changes we tell you rather than substituting quietly.
Seasonality worth planning around
Spring and autumn are the peak and the pressure points: hotels, guides and rail seats all tighten at once, and the good ones go first. Programmes for those windows are best confirmed well ahead of the season rather than inside it.
Summer is quieter and cheaper and works for groups willing to start early. Winter is genuinely underused: the cities are empty, availability is good, and for a partner with clients who dislike crowds it is an easy sell that most competitors are not making.
Two operational notes for the peak. Rail seats between the main cities are released on a fixed schedule and sell out for the popular departures, so a programme that depends on a particular train should be confirmed as early as the hotels are. And restoration work at major monuments is announced late and locally; we pass that on as soon as we know, because a scaffolded facade that appeared in a brochure photograph is a complaint waiting to happen.
How to get in touch
Write with your company name, where you are based, the markets you sell to, and a first request if you have one. We will come back with terms and, if you have sent a brief, a costed programme alongside them.
A fuller partner page with terms, commission structure and a booking form is being prepared and will replace this one. Until then, everything above is accurate and a message is the fastest route to an answer.
If you are assessing us against an existing supplier, ask for a sample programme and a reference. We would rather be compared properly than win a file on a lower number and lose it on delivery, and a partner who has checked us before the first booking is a partner who trusts the second one.
