Classic Silk Road
Tour details
About the journey
The Classic Silk Road is our signature introduction to Uzbekistan — a seamless eight-day loop through the four legendary caravan cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. You travel between them by high-speed Afrosiyob train and short connecting flights, so the days belong to the monuments rather than the road: the towering madrasas of the Registan, the holy necropolis of Shah-i-Zinda, the labyrinth of Bukhara's old town, and the perfectly preserved walled city of Itchan Kala in Khiva.
This is an unhurried cultural journey with real time to wander, photograph and talk with the craftspeople who still work in these courtyards. Your licensed Eastern guides are local historians who bring the architecture and the stories behind it to life, and every transfer, hotel and ticket is arranged in-house — never through a reseller.
It suits first-time visitors who want the essential Silk Road in one well-paced trip, couples and small groups of friends, and any traveller who would rather understand a place than simply tick it off. Available year-round, it is comfortable in any season.
